How scoring works

Your Between Us compatibility score is based on how closely your responses align across six areas of intimacy and connection: desire, initiation, affection, novelty, communication and connection.

For most questions we compare both partners' answers directly. Identical answers score 100; each step apart reduces the score by 25.

Some questions are compared with a related answer from your partner — for example, wanting more initiation is weighed against your partner's comfort initiating.

Questions about how things feel right now — current satisfaction, connection, feeling desired — carry less weight, since they describe context rather than compatibility.

The overall score is the average of the six areas. It is a proprietary score, not a scientifically validated measure.
